Canadian Baritone Justin Pierre Simard is described as “…not only outstanding vocally, but is gifted with great timing and comic good sense: subtle, but projected to the back of the hall.”

A graduate of Dalhousie University’s Music and Theatre programmes, Justin Pierre’s recent appearances include Guglielmo (Cosi fan Tutte) with the Lyric Opera Studio Weimar, Dulcamara (L’Elisir d’Amore) with the Centre for Opera Studies in Italy, Bartolo (Le Nozze di Figaro) and Alfonso (Cosi fan Tutte) with the Lyric Opera Studio Weimar. Past credits include Bartolo (Le Nozze di Figaro) with the Center for Opera Studies in Italy, Ben (The Telephone), Bob (The Old Maid and the Thief), Umberto (La Serva Padrona), and Herr von Klunker (zehn Madchen mit kein Mann) with the Dalhousie Opera Workshop.
Currently a resident of Melville, Prince Edward Island, Justin is completing his transition between the Bass Baritone and Baritone fach. He is currently preparing the roles of Conte (Le Nozze di Figaro), Figaro (Il Barbierie di Siviglia), Wolfram (Tannhäuser), Papageno (die Zauberflöte), and Germont (La Traviata).

In addition to his operatic pursuits, Justin also has a thriving private voice practice located in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, and performs regularly around the Island.
